CPPPH Certificates ofAchievement & Commitement
Recognition by CPPPH
CPPPH awards two kinds of certificates: the Certificate of Achievement recognizes a person’s knowledge of the core information about best practices for wellbeing committees that support physician health and the Certificate of Commitment makes a public statement highlighting a hospital’s commitment to patient safety and physician health.
Those who participate in the series Best Practices for Wellbeing Committees: 2025 Update become eligible to apply for the Certificate of Achievement. There is a $75 per person application fee.
Certificates of Achievement
Those who participate in the 2025 update of “Best Practices for Wellbeing Committees” are eligible to apply. Those who apply and have participated in at least five of the six sessions will be eligible to take a 25 question multiple choice post-test that covers the information from the sessions and the information in the five CPPPH guidelines.
The post-test is administered in a Zoom session held immediately after the end of the September 4 session or at a separate session scheduled between September 8 and 26. Results are announced and certificates awarded by October 10, 2025.
Those who successfully complete the post-test will receive CPPPH’s Certificate of Achievement, suitable to be cited on a person’s CV. The certificate is dated 2025 and is considered current for four years.
To Apply for a Certificate of Achievement:
There is a $75 per person application fee. Payment of the fee is the application; there is no application form. People can pay the application fee with registration for the videoconference series or, after the series has started, they can submit a request to apply and pay then if the request is received before August 15.
Certificates of Commitment
Hospitals and medical groups receive a CPPPH Certificate of Commitment when at least one person from each of three or four of these different areas of the hospital has a 2025 Certificate in Recognition of Achievement:
- Medical Staff Services
- Wellbeing Committee
- Medical Executive Committee
- Any other department or committee whose work is related to addressing patient safety
The certificate, suitable for display, shows the institution’s commitment to patient safety and healthy doctors. The certificate is dated 2025 and is considered current for four years or until the date when two of the persons who have the Certificate of Achievement go out of the office or role they held in the medical staff.
