Monitoring Health Care Professionals in California

After participating in these sessions, the learner should be able to:

• List activities that can be required in a program of monitoring for
  • substance use/addiction
  • mental health/psychiatric diagnosis
• Describe how each is measured and documented

This program has been approved for 1.5 NAMSS continuing education credits by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).

The AAFP has reviewed Monitoring Health Care Professionals and deemed it acceptable for up to 1.50 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 11/07/2024 to 11/07/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

Early bird rate is $150 for the first person and a reduced fee of $125 for up to two additional persons from the same hospital or organization registering at the same time on the same registration form. Early bird rate closes on Monday, October 7 @ 11:59pm (PT).

Starting Tuesday, October 8, registration fee is $185 per person with reduced fee of $145 for up to two additional persons.

For cancellations received by email before Tuesday, November 5, 2024 @ 11:59pm (PT), the registration can be transferred to a future program or full refunds can be made.
