Reporting Requirements For Wellbeing Committees

We are pleased to announce our next half day workshop in San Diego Region.

Confidentiality and Reporting Requirements For Wellbeing Committees, Medical Staff and Peer Review Bodies

Richard D. Barton, Esq.
Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP

Saturday, May 7, 2016
9:00 am – Noon
At the San Diego County Medical Society Foundation Offices

This workshop will cover core content that Wellbeing Committees need to understand about reporting and confidentiality issues.   Revisions in guidelines from the National Practitioners Data Bank have raised questions about what must be reported and highlight the need to define the Committee’s procedures clearly and carefully. We invite you to join us to learn more about this important and timely topic.

Rick Barton will lead the presentation and answer questions with Shelley Carder and Natalie Mueller of the Procopio team. His depth of understanding of the issues is grounded in 30 years of experience litigating and arbitrating on behalf of physicians, physician groups, and hospitals.

CPPPH offers this workshop to members and staff of committees of hospital medical staffs, medical groups, specialty societies and county medical associations. Attendance is by invitation. Participation is usually limited to those who serve on physician health committees or have similar responsibilities, however, as this topic is of wide-ranging interest, invitations are extended to all persons with roles related to peer review, credentialing and privileging.
