Please Note: Because this is a 6-part program, registration for this series is for ALL of the sessions. There is no prorated registration for a single date. You are encouraged to participate in the full series, but attendance for all 6 is not required for CME credit. Your certificate of attendance will document the sessions you attended. There is no refund for a missed session; registrants will have access to a recording of a missed session, but CME credit is not available for a recorded session.

Who Should Attend

The sessions are open to all interested persons involved in physician health activities. They are designed particularly for those who have a role with a wellbeing committee of a medical staff or medical group and/or those with a leadership or peer review role in the medical staff or medical group.

Learning Objectives

After participating in these sessions, the learner should be able to:

Describe the interactive relationship between a Wellbeing Committee and the Medical Executive Committee
Explain the relationship between Evidence Code 1157 and the policy and procedures of the wellbeing committee
List two things the committee should have completed before the first meeting with a physician referred to the committee
List two things that should have been completed before a physician meets with the person/organization that will conduct an evaluation
List two things that should be included in the physician’s agreement to get an evaluation
List three things the committee should require in the report of an evaluation
Describe three elements for which a physician can be monitored to document compliance with the physician’s agreement with the committee before “return to work”
Describe what must be in place for the committee to notify other hospitals/medical groups about a
physician’s history with the committee

Applications have been submitted for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and for credit for Medical Staff Professionals.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the California Medical Association (CMA) through the joint providership of Adventist Health Ukiah Valley and California Public Protection & Physician Health. Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is accredited by the CMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley designates this live activity for a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registration

Registration fee is $795 for six sessions, with a reduced fee for additional persons from the same hospital/group who register at the same time on the same registration form: $725 for the second person and $650 for each person over two. There is no registration for a single session. There is no refund for a missed session; registrants will have access to a recording of a missed session.

Registration will remain open throughout the series and registrations will be accepted for the remaining sessions, but the fee will not be reduced.

There is no additional fee for the certificate of attendance that documents attendance for CME reporting purposes. Note that the registration form includes the option to pay an additional $75 fee for those who wish to apply for the CPPPH Certificate of Achievement however, applications can be submitted and paid for at any time before August 15.
